COMET AUTOMATION SYSTEMS
Booth S-1583

npe19.jpgWhat's Hot! The FK-7 mold monitor vision protection system for injection molding machines is a fast image comparison tool, requiring only 0.2 sec to function with one camera and 0.4 sec with two cameras. System is compact; dimensions are 13.75 x 10 x 5 in.

The touchscreen menu guides users through all functions so special training is not necessary. The 'product watch areas' check for flash, short shots, contamination and other flaws or changes on the molded part or surface of the mold to prevent damage to cavities, core pins and slides.

The FK-7 can be moved from machine to machine and both the touchscreen and control panel are in one chassis to save space. Extra camera and lighting connections are standard.

Existing Products On Display The Exact-A-Batch MP gravimetric blender (Jun '99 PA, p 30) that meters pellets and non-free-flowing powders and the Sensi-Dry weigh dryer (Jul/Aug '98 PA, p 10), which comes with a man-machine interface.
