ERP audit module automates standards compliance

A new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software module helps manufacturers meet industry and corporate compliance measures, audit internal and external processes, and uncover areas for improvement. The Quality Audit Module for IQMS's EnterpriseIQ suite of products is a fully integrated component to IQMS' single-database ERP system that doesn't require third-party systems or partners and allows manufacturers to connect to all other aspects of their operations through one unified platform.

Within the audit module, customers can assess inventory, bills of material, corrective actions, and shipping. Additionally, the IQMS Quality Audit Module, which is available in EnterpriseIQ 7.7, can increase efficiency by automating administration tasks like scheduling an audit, adding the scheduled item to the CRM calendar, or creating a meeting for the audit in EnterpriseIQ CRM or Microsoft Outlook. EnterpriseIQ users who add the module will also be able to audit internal and external processes, such as packing slips, products, suppliers, and customer complaint forms. Using embedded workflow functionality, workflow Gantt charts, and document control, the Quality Audit Module is able to audit an overall process, or a specific part of the process. One potential sector for the module would be in medical manufacturing, where the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards require quality auditing as part of compliance regulations.
