Robots/automation: Sepro buys Conair’s stake in Sepro America

Sepro Robotique (La Roche sur Yon, France) has acquired Conair’s 50% stake in Sepro America LLC, the joint venture formed by the two in August 2007 after nearly 20 years of cooperation. Sepro America LLC (Pittsburgh, PA) has placed about 3000 robots in the market at more than 350 customers, according to the parent firm. All of Sepro’s U.S. sales, service, engineering, parts and now manufacturing personnel work in Pittsburgh.

Sepro Robotique (La Roche sur Yon, France) has acquired Conair’s 50% stake in Sepro America LLC, the joint venture formed by the two in August 2007 after nearly 20 years of cooperation. Sepro America LLC (Pittsburgh, PA) has placed about 3000 robots in the market at more than 350 customers, according to the parent firm. All of Sepro’s U.S. sales, service, engineering, parts and now manufacturing personnel work in Pittsburgh. Sepro’s interest in North America is on multiple fronts; earlier this year it formed Sepro Robótica de México.

Sepro has $67 million/year in sales and claims its market share in Europe has hit 25% for robots mounted on injection molding machinery.
