Automotive: Denso plan new HVAC facility

Next month, automotive systems supplier Denso Corp. (Kariya, Japan) will start work on construction of a new facility in Tamura-shi, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, to manufacture car air-conditioning systems. The new company, Denso East Japan Corp., will have an initial capital investment of 2.6 billion yen (approximately $25 million), eventually expected to reach $153 million by the fiscal year of 2015. Operation commencement is scheduled for January 2010, with the employee roster at the facility to grow from 100 in 2009 to a projected 400 employees in 2015.—[email protected]
