Auxiliaries: Dukane opens automotive center

Ultrasonic welding equipment supplier Dukane (St. Charles, IL) has opened a new automotive technical center in Wixom, MI, allowing the company to more than double the size of its applications area and expand its capabilities with local technical support for its customers’ vibration, ultrasonic, spin-welding, and heat-staking needs. The center provides plastic-assembly feasibility, weld-joint design, prototype tooling, prototype part runs, pre-production part runs, and final check out and run-off of production tools, among other services. The center’s demonstration room features the company’s new ultrasonic welding technologies, with added space to house customer machines, allowing for automotive engineers to perform tooling check out and validation on their equipment. All the systems in the lab are networked into Dukane’s global application lab thanks to the company’s remote iQ explorer software.—[email protected]
