Hybrid tool for automotive prototypes

0700i75a.jpgKupron Prototypes BV (the Netherlands) has introduced the Kupron Hybrid Mould, developed specifically for automotive prototypes such as instrument panels, bumpers, or door panels. These prototype tools combine the characteristics of aluminum molds with spray-metal tools. Core and cavity surfaces are machined from aluminum blocks, which are then embedded in a ceramic composite.

Using this method, Kupron is able to supply prototype thermoplastic parts in 10 to 12 weeks. For more information on Kupron Prototypes, contact Mario Neijts, sales manager, +31 (46) 452 7525; fax +31 (46) 452 3219; e-mail [email protected].
