TPV holds color in automotive weatherstrips

Thermoplastic vulcanizates used in automotive applications have to endure UV exposure and weathering without fading in color or degrading. An addition to DSM?s Sarlink TPV line, the 5000 Series, claims to offer a combination of high elastic performance and UV/color stability for weatherstrips and interior trim in cars. In addition, the manufacturer reports that parts made with Sarlink TPV can be 20 to 40 percent lighter than those produced with traditional sealing materials.
