Auxiliary equipment: Moretto expands in Germany

Renato Moretto (left) and Bernd Kraft celebrate the opening of the firm’s new offices in Germany.

Italian auxiliary machinery manufacturer Moretto last month established Moretto Deutschland GmbH as a distribution and service organization in Neunkirchen am Sand (near Nuremberg, Germany). Earlier this year the firm also opened a sales/service office in the U.K.

Bernd Kraft was appointed branch manager of the new German subsidiary. The new offices are to handle processor orders from the German, Austrian, and Swiss markets. Moretto manufacturers auxiliary equipment for drying, mixing, and dosing of thermoplastics.

Renato Moretto, CEO and founder of Moretto Plastics Automation (Massanzago, Italy; www.moretto.com), said in a statement, “From here we will be able to comprehensively serve injection molding, blowmolding, and extrusion users in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland—and by 2010 also users in the neighbouring Eastern European states. We intend to aim to sustainably expand our presence on the European market and become one of the top three periphery equipment suppliers.” Initially Kraft will have five members on staff, with more to come. The firm has a revenue target of euro 10 million for the German-speaking markets by 2010. MPW recently visited Moretto and reported on the company and its growth plans here.—[email protected]
