Corbion Purac, ecosVC, Green Blue, the Vancouver Aquarium, Unisource Global, and BASF will headline the agenda for the 9th annual Biopolymers Symposium. Biopolymers 2014, scheduled for May 12-13 in at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel in Philadelphia, PA, will cover current industry drivers; advances in sustainable feedstocks; innovation in resins and monomers; biopolymers and compostable packaging's role in zero waste; innovations in processing and performance and much more.

The Biopolymers Symposium 2014 is collocated with the BIO World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology, taking place Monday, May 12 - Thursday, May 15 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. The World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology is the largest international industrial biotech gathering, drawing 1,200 leaders in business, government and academia from nearly 40 countries. Programs will cover renewable chemicals, biobased products, synthetic biology and advanced biofuels. Biopolymers Symposium attendees can receive a discounted registration to attend the BIO World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology.

Biopolymers 2014 will take place over one and a half days and will open each day with a plenary session before moving into tracked sessions which will allow attendees to create an agenda best suited to their business development needs.

"The program for the 2014 Biopolymers Symposium goes further than ever before with sessions on sustainable feedstocks, the latest innovations in biobased monomers and polymers and biopolymers in compostable food service," said Barbara Fowler, conference director for Smithers Rapra. "By collocating with the BIO World Congress, we'll be providing the business executives, R&D leaders, government policy makers, stakeholders, and investors that make up the key audience for both events even more opportunities to build strategic relationships and greater access to the most current research and information related to the industrial biotechnology industry."
