0401c25b.jpg An award-winning 10-year PIM industry vet, Singapore's Advanced Materials Technologies (AMT) recently installed what is believed to be the first multimaterial MIM press in the world (see right). This all-in-one Arburg, equipped with two injection units, is used by AMT to mold proprietary bimetallic components.

With 12 furnaces and six presses, AMT now has a 7-ton/month metal powder processing capacity. Also, it has invited Penn State's Randall M. German to sit on its board, to help in its growing international marketing efforts and technology development.
