Injection molded building and construction fittings benefit from environmentally friendly Ducavin PVC compounds.

Environmentally friendly construction products can benefit from a new suite of lead-free rigid PVC injection molding compounds being brought onto the market by UK compounder Dugdale. Working in conjunction with major building product manufacturers during the last 12 months, the company has created and achieved approvals for a range of calcium-zinc (CaZn)-based materials marketed under the Ducavin PVC brand. These grades meet the requirements of BS EN 1401 drain products, BS EN 1329 for soil and waste water pipe fittings, and BS EN 607 for rainwater fittings. Each compound is said to provide processing stability compared to lead-based materials as well as better color consistency. —[email protected]
