Macro inks Indian sales at K

Canada’s Macro Engineering secured two Indian orders at the recently completed K (Oct. 24-31; Düsseldorf, Germany), including a seven-layer blown film line, which can opt up to nine layers using Macro technology, and a specialty polyvinyl chloride (PVC) film line. The seven-layer line features Macro’s patented encapsulation technology, which allows it to create nine layers structures on a seven-layer die, and is headed for an unnamed customer. In addition to the ability to make nine-layer films, Macro says the system is able to process barrier resins like PVdC and EVOH as well as speed up purging times for slower evacuating resins like polyamide. Macro has shown earlier success with the Macro line in Europe, selling systems on the continent six to seven years ago. The specialty PVC film line will be delivered to Jhaveri Flexo India Ltd. A cast-film system, the unit will be custom built for the fabrication PVC packaging products.—[email protected]
