Magnet Load Monitor Improves Suspended Electro-magnet Performance

The Magnet Load Monitor checks manually cleaned suspended electromagnets to determine excessive accumulation of ferrous contamination and alert operators that it is time to clean the magnet. Contamination can distort the magnetic field, reduce separation efficiency, obstruct material flow and dislodge tramp metal.

A small control panel with LED readout incorporates a microprocessor for automatic configuration to the suspended electromagnet. Operators can determine the amount of accumulated  ferrous material necessary to trip the monitor with a monitoring probe that has electronic zeroing capability and an adjustable setpoint.
