N.E.W. Plastics acquires Fulcrum Inc.

N.E.W. Plastics Corp., a manufacturer of blowmolded rigid plastic containers headquartered in Luxemburg, WI, has acquired Fulcrum Inc. (St. Paul, MN), which supplies blowmolded containers for agro chemical, oil and lube, household and industrial chemical, personal care and pet care applications. The purchase will expand N.E.W Plastics’ reach in the Midwestern United States and further its strategic growth plans, the company said in a news release published on May 2 to announce the deal.

Fulcrum Inc. will operate as Fulcrum Container LLC (an N.E.W. Family Co.) under the terms of the agreement, and N.E.W. states in the release that it will retain Fulcrum’s 23 employees and that the management team will help to spearhead growth opportunities.

Customers from both companies can expect to see a broader portfolio of custom blowmolded plastic products in sizes ranging from 10 cc to three gallons, says N.E.W. Both facilities offer view stripping capabilities with materials ranging from HDPE, rHDPE, LDP, PP and PETE.

N.E.W. Plastics is a second-generation, family-owned company. Since its founding in 1968, the company has progressively emphasized HDPE recycling, becoming a pioneer in the production of plastic lumber with the advent of Renew Plastics in 1973.
