NPE2015 recognized by Trade Show Executive awards for milestone year

It won’t come as a surprise to anyone who attended NPE2015, but validation is always welcome. The triennial event held in Orlando, FL, in March 2015 was tremendously successful, surpassing 1 million square feet of exhibition space, making it the most successful NPE event in the 69-year history of the show. Show organizer SPI: The plastics industry trade association (Washington, DC) announced last week that it earned five awards, including two Grand Awards, the highest recognition, at Trade Show Executive’s (TSE) annual Fastest 50 Awards & Summit.

Wittmann Battenfeld showed off its robots in ahigh-energy pit stop display at NPE2015.

SPI took home two Grand Awards, with growth numbers that outpaced 99.5% of all shows held in the United States in 2015, for Fastest-Growing Non-Annual Show in Sheer Numbers by Net Square Feet and Fastest-Growing Non-Annual Show in Sheer Numbers by Attendance. The triennial show also earned two plaques for being ranked #20 Fastest-Growing Trade Shows by Net Square Feet in the U.S. in 2015 and #21 Fastest-Growing Trade Shows by Attendance in the U.S. in 2015, and a framed certificate for being named among Trade Show Executive's Next 50 by Exhibiting Companies.

“Our trade show staff is committed to executing an engaging, flawless experience for speakers, attendees and exhibitors, and we are focused on making NPE2018: The Plastics Show even bigger and better,” said Lori Campbell, Senior Director of Trade Show Operations.

In the meantime, the plastics industry has another rendezvous on its mind, with K2016 opening its doors in Düsseldorf, Germany, in October. NPE2015 has set a high bar; let’s see if our friends across the pond are able to meet—perhaps even surpass—the challenge.
