Contract medical manufacturer Phase 2 joins Tijuana's growing medical cluster

Located in the state of Baja California, which produces approximately half of Mexico's medical device exports, Tijuana is home to more than 40 medtech companies. Baja California is on track to become Mexico's leading innovation center for the medtech sector by 2020, according to industrial development agency Tijuana EDC.

Phase 2 has also invested in its home base in Rochester, where it has added a 2500-sq-ft ISO Class 8 cleanroom dedicated to medical injection molding. The molded parts will go into medical products produced and assembled by Phase 2 onsite.

"The new near-shore plant and our new capabilities in medical injection molding are significant milestones in Phase 2's growing abilities to meet and even exceed our clients' expectations, while also attracting new customers seeking high-quality contract medical manufacturing," said Adam Prime, CEO of Phase 2.
