Three new tools have been added to CoCreate?s OneSpace software suite, marking the latest generation of online collaboration tools. Real-time 2-D drawing collaboration, drawing management, and a bill of materials feature have all been added to OneSpace Designer Drafting 2002+ to further enhance capabilities during product design. The first tool, called Personal Collaboration, reportedly enhances the drafting environment by allowing users to share 2-D drawing data and work in real time with design teammates including suppliers and customers. The second new feature, Drawing Manager, bolsters users? drawing tools by allowing management of data, including all versions and revisions of designs. This can be widened to include supplier data. The third new feature, a BOM (bill of materials), adds material management functions to the drawing and project manager capabilities. Bills of materials are automatically updated to reflect structure and part changes.
