UniEX single-screw extruders from battenfeld-cincinnati are now available for sheet and board extrusion applications. The new 35-, 45-, and 60-mm extrusion lines achieve output rates from 50 to 500 kg/h, depending on the material.

The U-shape design of the uniEX extruders results in a smaller overall footprint as well as shorter melt channels, which benefit purging times and material consumption.

Plasticizing units come with a choice of grooved or smooth feed zones. The extruders can be easily fitted with a degassing unit, which is required for ABS processing. Numerous mechanical engineering options are available, including rear screw extraction, gearless drive via torque motor, and positioning of the control cabinet. Design standardization ensures availability of parts and short delivery times.

The uniEX single-screw extruder series features a wide process and application envelope and the capability to process a variety of different materials thanks to specific screw geometries.
