Germany-based PVC extruder to add fourth North American facility

PVC extrusion specialist for window, door, fence deck and rail applications, Veka Inc. has announced that it will add a fourth extrusion facility in North America. Site selection has been narrowed down to three existing plants in the Carolinas, each of which has more than 160,000 square feet of space. The location will accommodate up to 30 extrusion lines and will include manufacturing support, value added services, offices and warehouse space.

“In 2015, we surpassed our pre-recession sales and production levels,” said Joe Peilert, President, Veka North America. “We made strategic investments at all three North American facilities to accommodate our growth. Utilizing new and exclusive extrusion technology, we are continuing to add capacity to our existing sites in Fombell, PA; Reno, NV; and Terrell, TX. Based on our strong outlook long term, we have decided to add a fourth extrusion location scheduled to open in 2018 to support continued existing and new customer growth,” said Peilert in a prepared statement.

Veka also has set its sights on becoming a market leader in Latin America. The company’s South and North American companies are cooperating to create a new level of service and product selection, said a press release from the company. Part of this effort is the establishment of a warehouse and logistics center in Mexico during the fourth quarter of 2017.

Headquartered in Sendenhorst, Germany, Veka operates 28 facilities worldwide. Its corporate U.S. headquarters is in  Fombell, PA.
