Just a year after introducing the Bullet extrusion head in 2015, Guill Tool (West Warwick, RI) has launched an upgrade, the Bullet II, which it showcased at PLASTEC West, co-located with MD&M West in Anaheim, CA, last week.
The Bullet II allows quick tooling changes, as the tips remove from the back and the die removes from the front of the unit, explains Guill Tool. The absence of fastening hardware eliminates leaking, as does the taper body and deflector design pioneered by the company. The new patent pending Cam Lock deflector retaining system requires only a half-turn to remove and install the deflector and tip without the use of any hardware. The technology simplifies cleaning and reduces downtime, notes Guill Tool.
In a video shot at PLASTEC West and embedded below, Bill Conley, Sales Manager, shows how easy it is to assemble and disassemble the Bullet II.
