Four-robot cells with function synchronicity

Article-Four-robot cells with function synchronicity

Autonomous robot cell applications where one control manipulates up to four robots and 36 axes are now possible with the XRC 2001 controller. All movements are coordinated allowing one robot to act as a part positioner for downstream processing, while up to three more robots perform various secondary tasks. Arm-interference software prevents the robots from bumping into one another, and its positioners also simplify initial programming. All jobs are saved so they can be separated into distinct tasks or engaged in a single cell. Independent job control for up to six concurrent tasks is possible thanks to the unit?s 200 MIPS Motorola PowerPC processors, which are enclosed in a lightweight pendant with 5.7-inch LCD, teach lock key, and key pad. The Inform II programming software uses a pulldown menu format to simplify programming.
