The Indianapolis-based American Mold Builders Association (AMBA) is now taking nominations for this year’s Mold Builder of the Year (MBOY) and Tooling Trailblazer of the Year (TTOY) awards.

In addition to receiving the awards, recipients will be recognized with a $5,000 scholarship grant for the educational institution, project, or initiative of their choice. The awards celebration will take place at the AMBA Conference 2021 in Grand Rapids, MI, June 22 to 24. Sponsored by Progressive Components, the MBOY and TTOY awards were established in partnership with AMBA to support education for the mold manufacturing workforce and recruitment programs.

The MBOY award recognizes an individual from an AMBA member company who champions education at the community, state, or national level. Candidates for this award must demonstrate commitment to technology and innovation and show dedication to ideals like honesty, fairness, and creativity in meeting industry challenges.

Now in its third year, the TTOY award goes to an AMBA member company that has made noteworthy accomplishments in education and/or recruitment during the past 12 months; has increased visibility of the mold manufacturing industry among students, parents, teachers, and/or counselors; and plans to continue educational outreach.

Click here to nominate individuals (including yourself) or an AMBA member company for the two awards. The nomination submission deadline is May 21, 2021. More information about the AMBA Conference 2021 is available here.
