In-Mold Decorating Association announces parts competition winners (slide show), part six
Injection mold manufacturer StackTeck of Brampton, ON, Canada, submitted the Gold Award–winning Best Thin Wall Package. Also owned by KFC, the 64-oz. IML TRIM Pail, molded by Srithai Superware, uses IML to enable a high-quality decoration on StackTeck’s thin-recess injection molded (TRIM) part, which has a wall thickness about half of what was formerly considered possible with conventional thin-wall molding technology. The full-wrap label provides extensive coverage on the container, and also acts to give this TRIM container added stiffness.
