Masterbatch doser takes labor out of processing

Two new blender models for dosing masterbatch, recovery of regrind, and blending with virgin resin are on display from May 21-24 at booth 1D311 at Chinaplas in Guangzhou, China from this Italian-based machinery producer. The MDP masterbatch dosing unit is equipped with a transparent hopper bin to allow operators to monitor colorant feed into the processing equipment. Dosing takes place via an inclined auger. This auxiliary device is suitable for management of very small masterbatch quantities on small-tonnage machines. The MDP2 can be equipped with one or two stations. Configuration with two stations permits recovery of regrind, which is handled by special regrind management software. Both units can be dismantled and cleaned without the need of special tools. Easy2 microprocessor controls, either centralized or individually managed, feature a central display with alphanumerical messages for monitoring operation status and warning or alarm conditions of a centralized resin feeding system.
