Materials testing: Thermo Fisher, Netzsch join sales teams

Two of the leading suppliers of plastics testing and characterization equipment have announced they will join sales forces; first in Germany, then gradually throughout the world. Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (Karlsruhe, Germany) and Netzsch (Selb, Germany) will coordinate their sales effort for thermal analysis and rheology equipment, with the focus of the cooperation first on the plastics industry in Germany.

The two combined product portfolios offer most of what is needed for development and testing of plastics, for instance the mixing of materials and the determination of rheological and thermomechanical properties. Lab extruders and thermal and rheological analyzers are among equipment marketed.

The companies intend also to extend this cooperation in China, France, India, and the United States. —[email protected]
