American Kuhne pushing deeper into Europe’s medical tubing market

Extruder manufacturer American Kuhne (Ashaway, RI) is expanding it presence in Europe, said Steve Maxson, national sales manager, during a meeting with MPW at the Medtec trade show in Stuttgart, Germany last week. The company already has a solid presence in Ireland, he said, especially in the medical tubing market, and now hopes to translate that success to continental Europe. American Kuhne’s sister firm, Kuhne (Sankt Augustin, Germany), which manufactures sheet extrusion lines, will handle services for European customers, while Dutch agent 2Spring (North Brabant) will handle sales and marketing of the machinery. He said the CE-certified extruders with all necessary electronics for Europe will be made at the company Rhode Island headquarters.

The Medtec show is organized by MPW parent firm Canon Communications. [email protected]
