Plastics distributor Modern Plastics—no business relation to our magazine—has added a permanent implantable medical-grade polyether etherketone (PEEK), called MediPEEK-IM, to the range of materials it offers. Modern plastics is a distributor for Westlake Plastics Company; its implantable medical-grade MediPEEK-IM products are available from Modern Plastics (Bridgeport, CT) in rod sizes one-meter long, and with diameters of 20-, 25-, 30-, 40-, and 50 mm, with custom sizes available upon request.
