Names in the news: DME, P.E.T.S., Flambeau, Emerald Kalama Chemical, Davis-Standard, SIGMA, and HallStar

Plastic Engineering & Technical Services Inc. (P.E.T.S.; Auburn Hills, MI) announced two new executive appointments, naming Rich Oles as VP of engineering, and Joe Lang, as new business development manager. These are new positions at P.E.T.S. created in response to its growing global market, according to the company. Oles joins P.E.T.S. from PSG Plastic Service Group Inc. (Stevensville, MI), a supplier of hot runner manifold systems and hot runner controllers, where he was president and CEO for North America since 2007. Lang also joins P.E.T.S. from PSG Plastic Service Group Inc., where he worked in business development since 2010.

Flambeau (Baraboo, WI) has hired Tom Star as its VP of sales and marketing for its medical markets group. Based from the company's Phoenix, AZ, facility, Star comes to Flambeau from Pacific Plastics and Engineering (Santa Cruz, CA). Prior to that, he worked in sales and management for Trend Technologies (Chino, CA).

Emerald Kalama Chemical (Cuyahoga Falls, OH) has appointed Robyn Bradshaw as the sales manager in the North American market for its K-Flex product, a non-phthalate, non-SVHC, REACH pre-registered dibenzoate plasticizer. Emerald Kalama Chemical currently manufactures K-Flex in Kalama, WA and is in the process of commissioning its newest operation in Rotterdam. Prior to joining Emerald, Bradshaw spent more than 25 years as a sales and marketing professional, with stops at Kuraray, Bostik, and Croda.

Davis-Standard LLC (Fulton, NY) has promoted Don Teich as the VP of liquid coating. Teich has more than 32 years in the industry, of which 25 have been with Davis-Standard and its predecessors. Prior to this appointment he served as district sales manager.

Vanessa Schwittay has joined the marketing team of SIGMA Engineering GmbH, starting in June. Schwittay got a degree in technical communication at the RWTH in Aachen, Germany.

The HallStar Company has promoted Louis M. Pace to be its COO. Pace joined HallStar in September 2010 as executive VP, focused on developing and implementing global growth strategies. In December 2010, he was elected as an officer of the corporation, and in April 2011, HallStar's sales and marketing functions began reporting through him. Prior to joining HallStar, Pace served as president specialty products division at Belden CDT Inc.
