BP Plastics to boost production with new stretch film machine

According to Group Managing Director Lim Chun Yow, the company's export sales are expected to grow to 80% of total revenue for the financial year 2015, from 78% recorded last year.

"The investment is part of the group's strategy to increase production capacity and meet with the challenging demands from the export market,” added Chun Yow.

It was reported that the combined annual capacity for stretch films and packaging bags was nearly 60,000 tonnes annually.

BPP currently operates two manufacturing facilities within the same vicinity with a total built-up area of 295,000-square-feet and specializes in supplying stretch and shrink films, and other PE packaging films and bags, stretching its presence to 51 countries. The company exports almost 80% of its products to other Asian countries, Middle East and European countries.
