Three diverse markets converge in the red-hot intersection of cannabis, stand-up pouch packaging, and digital printing.

Individually these markets are experiencing solid growth, presented in ascending order:

  • The global stand-up pouches market is forecast to expand globally at a rate of 6.8% yearly 2022 to 2026 to surpass $6.3 billion.

  • The global digital printing market size was estimated at $27.4 billion in 2021 and is projected to surpass $49.7 billion by 2030 at an annual 6.84% growth rate 2022 to 2030.

  • The global cannabis market is growing an estimated 24.3% yearly 2022 to 2026 to reach a value of $82.3 billion by 2027.

What happens when these three markets merge? I found out few months ago in the tradeshow booth of digital printing specialist HP. The stand offered several displays of brands’ digitally printed packaging from beverage labels to cannabis pouches. While the former was impressive, the latter featured several creative graphics schemes for stand-up pouches from brands that were "wow, that's really crazy!" We present these digitally printed cannabis pouches in the accompanying slideshow gallery, presented in wild-to-mild order starting with an outlandish packaging design.

In terms of shelf impact, this one’s a stick of dynamite.
