PACKAGING: Dust-free bagging system has many advantages

The problem of heavy dust accumulation, an unavoidable phenomenon when filling powdery products into open-mouth bags or using a valve packer, can cause packagers sleepless nights with dirty sacks, product loss, and explosion danger. This problem has been solved, says this manufacturer, with the patent-pending, new-generation Opal form-fill-seal (FFS) bagging system. The closed system is laid out to allow controlled bagging with minimum air introduction when handling powdery products such as PVC, or additive and filler packages. The sealing area around the bag mouth remains clean allowing for good bonding and closing. Opal is equipped with optional air evacuation capability, corner sealing, and explosion protection provisions for loads up to 50 kg.
