Wittmann (Vienna, Austria) acquired Battenfeld in early 2008.

Wittmann Battenfeld has established a sales and service subsidiary, Wittmann Battenfeld Srl, in Bucharest. The new subsidiary’s 32-year-old general manager, Bogdan Nestor, previously had worked for the Romanian sales and service distributor D&D Plastics as director of its sales and marketing; that firm’s customers included plastics machinery manufacturers Negri Bossi, Eurochiller and Dipr. —[email protected]
