Bunting adds sales operation in England

Bunting Magnetics Co. (Newton, KS; Stand 10/H69) has announced it will open a new manufacturing and sales operation in Berkhamsted, England, creating a European foothold using its April 2008 acquisition, Magnet Applications, which has manufacturing operations in Berkhamsted and Dubois, PA. The new sales operation will be responsible for all transactions in the UK, the European Union, and Africa. Bunting said the site will also manufacture equipment in its Magnetic Separation product line.

Robert Bunting, Bunting's owner and CEO, stated that Magnet Applications will expand his company's product and scope, particularly in bonded NdFeB magnets and technical assemblies. "Now, by manufacturing Bunting equipment within the European Union," Bunting said, "we will be able to build on the reputation of both companies and offer a fuller range of magnetic technology to the eastern hemisphere."

In May 2010, Bunting named Gareth Meese as the export sales manager for Magnet Applications Limited (MAL), a division of Bunting, giving him the dual responsibilities of overseeing and developing sales for MAL and Bunting product lines. As part of that work, Meese will work to establish a network of distributors. —[email protected]
