EDI names Daejoo its outfit in Korea

Daejoo Industrial, based in Kyunggi-do, already represents a number of other manufacturers involved in the plastics film extrusion and converting business, among them blown-film extruder and thermoforming machinery manufacturer Kiefel and Singulus, which makes machinery for surface treatment as well as for production of optical media. (Ed. Note: Kiefel’s blown-film line business was recently acquired by Reifenhäuser; see the related article here.)

Dennis Paradise, VP sales and marketing at EDI, notes that Daejoo Industrial also represents technology suppliers to the photovoltaic industry, a sector where EDI is increasingly involved through its coating dies. In related news, EDI has named newly formed Plastteknik İthalat İhracat Ltd. (Istanbul) as its new agent in Turkey. Besides EDI, Plastteknik also already represents international manufacturers of plastics auxiliary equipment. The company was formed by Murat Sun, Kerem Anil, and Omer Kanbak.
Plastteknik’s website is currently under construction at www.plast-teknik.com, but the firm can be reached via email at [email protected]. —Matt Defosse
