Methods opens tech center in Arizona

Machine tool supplier Methods Machine Tools Inc. (Sudbury, MA; www.methodsmachine.com) celebrated its 25th year of operating in Arizona during the grand opening and open house events for its new technology center in Tempe, AZ. State and local government dignitaries attended and participated in the grand opening event on Oct. 13, and after the ribbon cutting and facility tour, Methods executives were presented with several excellence awards from machine tool partners including Nakamura-Tome, Matsuura, ATS, and Citizen. To celebrate the opening, there were even participants from Methods and its partners dressed in costumes and wielding wooden mallets to perform a traditional Japanese sake barrel smashing ceremony.

At the open house event from Oct. 14-16, they showed off the enhancements made in customer support operations, including the parts department that increased by 80% at the new 18,000-ft2 facility, a spindle rebuild area, and a 5200-ft2 showroom. Several machines were on display, four technology seminars were conducted, and vendor representatives were there to answer visitors’ questions on the latest products.
