Jabil stays in FL
Thanks to $17.063 million in incentives from the state of Florida, electronics contract manufacturer Jabil Circuit (www.jabil.com) announced it has decided to retain its headquarters and 1838 employees in St. Petersburg, FL and build a new $54 million manufacturing, research, and development facility there.

RKC appoints new president
Yoshifumo Unno, who began as a sales engineer 23 years ago with temperature and process control manufacturer RKC Instrument America (South Bend, IN; www.rkcinst-usa.com), has been appointed as the company’s president.

Adept signs distributor for Mexico; earns ISO
Expanding its reach into Mexico in the food and packaging sectors, robotics supplier Adept Technology Inc. (Livermore, CA; www.adept.com) has signed Automatizaciones Garco SA de CV of Monterrey as its exclusive distributor for Mexico. The company also recently achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification for the design and manufacture of its industrial robots.

ITW now offers RP
Pad printer, laser, and digital printing equipment manufacturer ITW Trans Tech (Carol Stream, IL; www.itwtranstech.com) is expanding its services to produce rapid prototyped parts from digital files using its Rapid Prototype 3D printer.
