Names in the news: DME, PTi, and Jamplast

Mold technology supplier DME (Madison Heights, MI) has hired Chris Bustamante as a new field sales representative for the Western U.S. Bustamante will serve customers in Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. Bustamante comes to DME from CSI/Cosmolab, where he was the sales manager for a variety of injection molding products including double-wall jars, mechanical pencils, closures, and custom injected products for the cosmetic industry.

Sheet-extrusion machinery manufacturer Processing Technologies International (PTi) has named James Johnson as is senior VP of applications and technology. A 49-year plastics industry veteran, Johnson brings a range of experience in technology, sales, and marketing to the new post, from which he will direct PTi's efforts in new technology, ventures/alliances, and application development. He will also oversee the company's new production-scale "dryer-less" HVTSE twin-screw sheet extrusion system. Johnson has been with PTi for seven years, most recently serving as senior VP of sales and marketing. Johnson has also held technical and management roles at extrusion firms Extrusion Dies International, Davis-Standard, Reifenhäuser, and Johnson Plastics Machinery.

Resin distributor Jamplast has appointed Michele Sagan as the product manager for biopolymers. Sagan has been with Jamplast since 1998 as an account executive. Prior to joining Jamplast, Sagan was the plant and operations manager for the engineered polymers division of Osterman and Company for 13 years. Sagan has a combined 26 years of experience with bio-resins. Jamplast is a one-stop source for prime, custom compounded, wide-spec, regrind, and reprocessed materials, supplying more than 35 million lb of raw thermoplastic material each year. Jamplast currently distributes for NatureWorks, Cereplast, Biome, Green Dot, and PSM, among others.
