Swiss extruder manufacturer Maillefer has chosen a new CEO, promoting Peter Roos to the position. His predeccesor, Pentti Hätälä, recently turned 65 but will continue as the chairman of the board of the Maillefer Group.

Swiss extruder manufacturer Maillefer has chosen a new CEO, promoting Peter Roos to the position. His predeccesor, Pentti Hätälä, recently turned 65 but will continue as the chairman of the board of the Maillefer Group. 

Hätälä leaves his executive position after more than 30 years serving the plastics and wire and cable industries. He joined Nokia Machinery in Finland over 20 years ago and moved up the company's ranks. He became Maillefer's CEO in 2001. Roos bring more than 20 years of experience in the European automotive industry, including several years in key management positions. He joined Maillefer more than a year ago as operations officer. 

Maillefer (Ecublens, Switzerland) is best know for its machinery for extrusion of wire and cable and tube and pipe.

Meanwhile, Pencom (San Carlos, CA), a supplier of inserts for injection molding, announced the promotion of John Tafelski to North American product manager for inserts for plastics, which Pencom markets as "Zerts." Tafelski has been with Pencom for the last three years as an account manager and has been in the industry for 11 years. 

Pencom's inserts include custom and standard, headed and stud versions of threaded, ultrasonic, heatstaked, press-in, molded-in, and self-tapping inserts in brass, stainless steel, steel, and aluminum.—[email protected]
