Sonitek now offers a new standard temperature controller for its entire line of thermal heat staking, metal insertion, date coding, and degating equipment. The microprocessor-based auto-tuning PID controller features LED displays, compact 1/32 DIN size, and multiple outputs for temperature and out-of-temperature alarms. Optional RS 485 Sonitek-Port communications capability is also available, as well as the ability to communicate with a PC for magnetic storage, monitoring, and statistical analysis. With Sonitek software, up to 125 temperature controllers can be remotely programmed; and with the bidirectional communications hardware, Sonitek-Port, process information can be downloaded for graphing and record keeping. Equipment prices are not affected by this enhancement.
