January 1, 2004
RV-S Series high-speed, precision Mitsubishi robots have a wide range of motion with speeds up to 9100 mm/sec, precise repeatability up to 20 µm, and payloads up to 12 kg.
The vertically articulated robots have a standard pick-and-place cycle time of up to .37 second, reportedly faster than some SCARA robots. The drive is a full digital a-c servo system, and the CPU is an updated version of Mitsubishi?s 64-bit RISC and DSP processor. The robots are also available in extended length versions (RV-6SL and RV-12SL) as well as cleanroom Class 100 and Class 10 versions.
The series also includes a life-prediction function for easy and timely maintenance, an enhanced collision detection function, and an automatic tool compensation function.
