Purging Compound Is For 'Clarity' Or High Transparency Resins

Dyna-Purge C is said to eliminate the 'drag' or 'haze' associated with resin changes, especially clarity of high transparency resins. The purging compound is said to work well in injection molding and extrusion machines processing such resins at 400 to 590 F.

The company says regular use of Dyna-Purge C will reduce carbon build-up and deposits, minimizing scrap
generation. Applications include automotive light lenses and reflectors, consumer appliances, cosmetic parts and packaging.

In use, the compound does not melt completely; instead it scrubs and pushes its way through the screw and barrel system, purging thoroughly on the first run. Another advantage cited the firm is that it is non-chemical and non-abrasive to protect machine components.
