In last month’s Resin Report Monthly Edition podcast, my guest Joseph Chang described a volatile market in terms of resin pricing and availability. Has anything changed? Will the merry month of May live up to its name?

We checked in with Emily Friedman, Recycled Plastics Senior Editor at business intelligence firm ICIS, for some answers. During this podcast she also shares insights on pricing trends within the recycled resins realm and offers her take on chemical recycling.

In her current role at ICIS, Friedman reports on market trends and provides thought leadership for the North American recycled plastics industry. She was recently involved in starting up weekly reports on the recycled PET and PE markets for ICIS. The reports include global pricing data and business intelligence from Friedman and a team of experts. If you’re interested in learning more, visit the ICIS website or contact Friedman directly via e-mail, [email protected].

Before joining ICIS, Friedman was a corrosion expert and reliability engineer at ExxonMobil, serving both refining and petrochemical operations. She holds a degree in materials science and engineering from Virginia Tech and has been recognized by the Society of Women Engineers for her commitment to inclusion and diversity.

We know you have busy lives, so we have kept the conversation under 15 minutes. I think you will find it informative, but if there’s something you think we could be doing better, please leave us a comment.
