Injection molded from a polypropylene copolymer, the Dombo cup was created by Dutch designer Richard Hutten for retailer Gispen. The cup's design reportedly references the human ear, the only part of the body that continues to grow over the years. Hutten is considered one of the most prominent exponents of Dutch Design, blending functionality and whimsy, and his work can be found in museums throughout the world, including the the modern art museums in New York and San Francisco.
