Speedy cap, closure decoration

A new dry offset cap printer can decorate 2500 caps/min as a stand-alone piece of equipment, or inline with a molding machine. Fully adjustable, the CP-2000 can decorate several cap sizes and varieties. The system works by accepting caps from adjustable bulk feeders. The caps are placed on pucks for single- or multilane tracks, depending on the quantity of caps, and fed to the dial. Prior to decoration, the caps are cleaned and pretreated. Simple or complex designs, available in up to five colors, are created in a highly repeatable process that uses dry offset printing. Ink is UV-cured, and an optional coating station is available for clear-coat application. By using a specialized flexographic chambered coating system, the CP-2000 can create textures or tactile effects.
