System cleans nitrogen for gas-assist molding

New nitrogen generation systems from Gain Technologies have been redesigned to increase performance and reliability. The systems were developed to supply clean, dry, oil-free nitrogen for storage and use in gas-assist applications. The units produce 95 to 99.5 percent pure, dry nitrogen at pressures up to 2500 psig from a compressed air source.

A membrane module generates the nitrogen, and an air-driven booster helps eliminate oil-contaminated nitrogen from electric-driven compressors. The units are available in both 5- and 10-cfm models. The 5-cfm model is upgradable. Minimum requirements for both models are 100 psi at flow rates of 110 cfm and 140 cfm, respectively. Both units require 120V
a-c, though 220V a-c is available.
