Teknor Apex realigns UK management

Teknor Apex UK Ltd. (Oldbury, UK) has reorganized its management, undertaking promotions and new hires in response to growth in its European engineering thermoplastic and thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) businesses. Among the moves made: Neil Croucher has been promoted to ETP sales director for the UK and Ireland; Barry Galpin has been promoted to TPE sales director for the UK, Ireland, and continental Europe; Carla Adlam has been promoted to export sales manager for ETP and TPE sales outside the UK and Ireland; and Neil Moore has assumed the new position of TPE development technician. In addition, Bob Harper, manager of sales in the UK Northern region, will continue to report to Croucher, and this year the company will recruit a sales manager for the UK Southern region.

Teknor Apex UK has also created the new position of ETP technician that it will fill during 2010. Moore will work with TPE Technical Manager Bhawan Patel on developing new formulations and overseeing compound production and sampling. Teknor Apex’s Oldbury facility produces polyamide and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) engineering thermoplastic compounds, as well as TPEs, which it began manufacturing at the site in 2008. Simon Hubbard, Teknor Apex’s managing director, said the company has seen demand growth in ETP target markets such as automotive and packaging, while in TPEs, there has been expanding demand for compounds developed in the U.S., as well as custom formulations created in the UK to meet the special needs of European manufacturers. —[email protected]
