The winners of this year’s Thermoforming Conference Parts Competition were crowned late last month in Cleveland during a gala organized by the Thermoforming Division of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE). We previously profiled the recipients of gold awards in medical-related projects in “Medical Applications Strike Gold in Thermoforming Awards.” In this slide show, we feature the other thermoformers that took home the gold.

Competition chair Travis Kieffer applauded in a prepared statement the “quality and diversity of the entries.” The companies and projects featured here certainly bear this out. From a pallet-and-lid assembly that prolongs the freshness of globally shipped produce to thermoformed plastic parts that replace labor-intensive fiberglass components and save an automotive OEM a truckload of money, it’s clear that innovation and ingenuity continue to thrive in the thermoforming sector.
