Thermoforming: Processors, start your engines

The race is on to see who can thermoform the best parts. The finish line will be reached in April at the Society of Plastics Engineers' 3rd European Thermoforming Parts Competition, held in conjunction with the European Thermoforming Division's conference in Antwerp, Belgium.

Thermoforming: Processors, start your engines

The conference is scheduled for April 22-24, 2010. Originality, creativity, mold complexity, and technical ability will be the standards by which parts will be judged. Entries for thick-gauge parts are possible in the categories Vehicle/Automotive, Industrial, Point of Purchase/Displays, Technical Applications, and Sanitary. Thin-gauge parts will be judged in the categories Food Applications, Medical Applications, Electrical Applications, and General Packaging. At conferences past the judging was done at the event with winners also announced there.
