Tony Radoszewski

The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) announced this morning that Tony Radoszewski is no longer its President and CEO, effective March 25. The statement came from Tad McGwire, Chairman of the Board.

Radoszewski assumed the leadership role on September 16, 2019. He previously held the position of president of the Plastics Pipe Institute since 2006, and has more than 40 years of industry experience. He succeeded William Carteaux, who passed away on Dec. 10, 2018, from leukemia, ending a 13-year tenure at the association.

No explanation was given for Radoszewski's departure.

During his time at PLASTICS, Radoszewski was outspoken in his defense of the plastics industry, pushing back against attacks from activist organizations and increasingly draconian regulations from local, state, and federal regulators.

Radoszewski's departure follows that of Perc Pineda, Chief Economist, who left the association last month.

In making the announcement, McGwire expressed on behalf of PLASTICS his gratitude for Radoszewski’s service to the plastics industry. “Tony served our association during a period that included significant challenges, but PLASTICS remains as strong as ever. We extend Tony our best wishes in his future endeavors and extend our sincere thanks for his commitment and contributions,” said McGwire.

McGwire was named PLASTICS Chairman of the Board on Jan. 13, 2022. He is the owner and CEO of Industrial Heating Corp.

“On a personal note,” McGwire added in today’s announcement, “I have been part of the Plastics Industry Association for more than 30 years. This organization plays an essential role on behalf of the industry it represents, and I am proud to be its Chairman. We have full confidence in the executive leadership team that is in place and they will continue to lead the association during this time of transition. The officers of the board will maintain oversight and work closely with the PLASTICS team to make sure we are an even stronger organization into the future.”
