The new roster of officers for SPI, the U.S. plastics industry trade association based in Washington, D.C. has been announced, following an election held during the group's national board meeting in mid-October. The new chairman of the board is Chris Keller, president of the Conair Group (Cranberry Twp., PA).

The full slate of elected officers includes:
Vice Chairman - Jay Cude, President and CEO, Coeur Inc. (Lebanon, TN)
Treasurer - Fred Daniell, Chief Operating Officer, Kureha America Inc. (New York, NY)
Secretary - Bob Hamilton, Group President, Illinois Tool Works (Elk Grove, IL)
Officer at Large - Jim Murphy, President of Extrusion Systems, Davis-Standard (Pawcatuck, CT)
Officer at Large - Tim O'Brien, Vice President/Americas EMEA, SABIC Innovative Plastics (Pittsfield, MA)

The immediate past chairman, Jim Buonomo, Chief Strategy Officer and CFO of Nypro, Inc. (Clinton, MA), along with any appointed directors and 24 directors elected by the three industry councils-equipment, materials, and processors-comprise SPI's Executive Board. Association president and CEO Bill Carteaux is also a member but may not vote.
